Shiva Milan Mandir is not only a place of worship. Once one walks through the doors of the mandir, the atmosphere is tranquil, and serene.  One tends to forget the reality of the real world.     - Indira & Ram Singh -

I started going to The Shiva Milan Mandir because I wanted my children to learn about their culture and grow up in an invironment with other kids just like them. The Shiva Milan Mandir is a Mandir that focuses on the development of the youths and through the years I’ve have been attending my children have learned a lot about their religion and also how to play the harmonium, tabla and sing. I enjoy going to Mandir on Sundays and I recommend everyone who can make the time to come to do so. After coming once you will want to come again. Your kids will learn a lot about their religion and culture, whiles being in an environment where they will make a lot of friends and enjoy coming on Sundays.   - Nalini & Darsh Gobin -

We use to go from mandir to mandir, searching for the “right place” for our 3 daughters to learn about their religion and culture. Usually our children get bored very easily and can’t     stop fidgeting and want to go home.  Our friends recommended the Shiva Milan Mandir to us about 4 years ago; we’ve been attending ever since. Today our children literally drag us to temple every Sunday.  Since we started coming to SMM they regularly participate in the religious service,  they then look forward to the kirtan class being thaught by their favourite teacher, Vidya.  After lessons they enjoy spending some time with the many friends that they’ve met here at SMM.  As parents, not only are the children receiving an excellent  religious and cultural upbringing, but we are also learning and meeting other families with the same stories as ours, thanks SMM.   - Shiv & Shanti Sukhu -

I believe that music and religion makes you talented and gives you self-respect.  Personally I believe that a person who walks with honesty, truth and helps humanity from problems, is part of godliness.   God is within you! You can destroy yourself and you can protect yourself from all harm & danger.  Parents who have godliness in them protect their family & children.  We live by god, are protected by god and walk by god.  Shiva Milan Mandir is a place of truth, godliness and love because god dwells more in children.  When you watch a child you can see god in them.    When I watch the children of Shiva Milan Mandir   I feel so happy and peaceful.  All religion is one, but religion is love.  The most happiest thing in a parents life is to see their children following the right path of life.  There is nothing more a parent want in this world, seeing their children doing good things,  this will make them peaceful and happy.  If we don’t have love for humanity we don’t have anything in us.  May god bless the leaders of this temple and help them grow more and more.  - Mrs. Etwaree Chatterpaul, Senior -

Jai Seeta Ram.  April 2008 will be 4 years for my family and I attending Sunday morning Sathya Sanga at the Shiva Milan Mandir.  It is here I found my Guru, Swami Vidyanandaji, and I learned the Ten Divine Messages of Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj.   At the mandir, our focus is on the children. Classes are led after ever Sunday morning Sathya Sanga for free.  The children are taught to sing bhajans, dhuns, and chant Vedic Havan Mantras.  The glories of the Ramacharitmanas and various other scriptures are recited.  It is through the communion of Sathya Sanga, our children will cultivate DHARMA.

Quote from Chanakya Niti:  Those parents who do not educate their children are enemies;  for as is a crane among swans, so are ignorant children in a public assembly.  This is a reminder for all parents to perform our duty toward your children without any excuses.  By attending Shiva Milan mandir you will be practicing your Dharma with zeal and enthusiasm.  Parents, in the absence of traditional family structure and when the education of children is not rooted in religious and moral values,  it becomes the sole responsibility of parents to become role models for their own children. The best way to do this is through self example, attending the Mandir will provide you with such opportunity.  By practicing religion and maintaining integrity in way that would strengthen children’s  faith in their religion and respect for their parents.  If parents are religious and show consistency in their thought and action,  children would believe in their parents and hence practice the Hinduism eternal Dharma.  Discharge your duties faithfully, develop all the virtues which constitute Dharma.  Stick to Dharma with all your heart, with your entire mind and with all your soul.  Performance of one’s duties brings happiness, eternal bliss, supreme peace, perennial joy, absolute freedom and perfection, finally reaching our goal – Self-Realization and emancipation or Mosha.

Goswaami Tulasidaasa teaches us...Binu Sathya Sanga Bibeka Na Hoi, Rama Kripaa Binu Sulabha Na soi

Meaning: Wisdom dawns not without Sathya Sanga (truthful gathering) and such association cannot be easily had without the GRACE of Sri Rama (the Lord).

"YATO DHRMAH TATO JAYAH"  Meaning: Where Dharma exists victory is guaranteed.

It will be this reason and purpose I will encourage you to attend the Shiva Milan Mandir.   May the eternal Dharma of Hinduism continue to enlighten us.  May the bond of true love consolidate all Humanity.  I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the Executives of the Shiva Milan Mandir.  Thank you so much for the opportunity to belong to a Mandir which promote children.  To be counted among a devotee of Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj is truly a blessing from Guruji.

As always...Peace, Love and understand Jai Guru Maharaj.  Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Hari Har Om.  - Mr./Mrs. D & L. Panday. - - Ajax, Ontario - 23rd January, 2008
